Mild at heart
Article Abstract:
Actor Nicolas Cage emphasizes that he is a happy person, even though people often think that he is sad. He feels that his latest role, a private detective trying to find the makers of a snuff movie in '8MM,' has allowed him to explore new directions, especially in developing the violent aspect of his personality. He believes that he has become less wild in recent years, and no longer feels the need to be destructive. However, he does not feel that he is necessarily making safer films.

Meet our reluctant friend in the North
Article Abstract:
It is possible to learn from unsuccessful projects, according to actress Gina McKee. She did not attend drama school, but made up for this by teaching herself technique. She respects actress Faye Dunaway, and would like to take on a feminist role, as Dunaway does in 'Bonnie and Clyde.' She feels that it made complete sense for her to move to London, England, from her home town of Peterlee, England, at the age of 18, and does not regard herself as either a northerner or a southerner.
