My friend and other animals
Article Abstract:
A series of poetry sessions held recently at Springfield psychiatric hospital in Wandsworth, London, England, attracted a reasonable level of interest from both staff and patients. The organizers found it rather difficult to choose poetry which would be suitable for such an environment, but were successful in drawing positive responses from most participants, who were encouraged to write their own poetry. A number of participants were able to benefit from drawing on their own experiences.

Guston's Grand Guignol
Article Abstract:
The Timothy Taylor gallery in London, England, is staging an exhibition of the late works on paper of Philip Guston. His favourite late images, including riveted triangles, fat books and bendy clocks, appear many times in his paintings and drawings. The strangest element in his late works is the hooded figures of Ku Klux Klansmen, which appear singly or in groups in many places in this exhibition. Seven of the 10 works in this show have already sold.
