New York blues
Article Abstract:
New York's waterfront area is becoming increasingly popular again as other parts of the city become overcrowded and extremely expensive. Riverfront and wetland areas are being reclaimed, and docks and piers are being rebuilt. The area has a unique atmosphere, and is particularly attractive for its fragility, being very vulnerable to unusual weather conditions. Some parts feel like they have been lost in time, and there are many undiscovered residential areas, restaurants and other attractions.

There he was, the lawyer who nailed me
Article Abstract:
The publishers, Chatto and Windus, sued the author over her first book, 'Comrade Rockstar.' Publishers use a standard contract including an indemnity clause, which authors and agents tend to ignore as it is rarely used. The author's lawyer felt that the publishers should have requested changes to the book before it was published as they must have realised some libellous statements were included. An out-of-court settlement of 19,500 pounds sterling was made.

Show us power without the power-dressing
Article Abstract:
Washington sets the trend for business dress in the US. John T. Molloy established the business suit in his 1977 book 'The Woman's Dress for Success Book.' Women in Washington wear grey or navy suits and blouses with pussycat bows. Trousers are practically forbidden. Success depends on conformity in dress. Hillary Clinton, as the first professional woman to become First Lady, has the opportunity to change the style of women's business dress.
