OJ's star fades as public shuns second trial
Article Abstract:
The families of the alleged victims of OJ Simpson are now suing him for damages in a civil trial. Prosecution attorney Daniel Petrocelli has scorned Simpson's claims that many Los Angeles police officers conspired to plant blood evidence. Lead defence attorney Robert Baker has begun the defence by attacking the image of Simpon's former wife Nicole. The new trial has attracted relatively little attention from the general public, and all broadcasts from the courtroom have been banned.

The children who will be brought up by their mother's murderer
Article Abstract:
OJ Simpson has been found in a civil trial to have been responsible on a 'preponderance of the evidence' for the death of Ronald Goldman, a friend of his former wife Nicole. The court also found that he had been guilty of 'malice in the conduct' against his former wife. However, this judgement is unlikely to affect an earlier ruling by a family court to grant Simpson custody of his two children. He will now face a large claim for punitive damages from his victims' families.
