One man and his fridge
Article Abstract:
Many everyday household products are now designed by teams of stylists, researchers or engineers, rather than by an individual designer with strong opinions and considerable influence, as was often the case in the past. The design-by-committee approach has led to many products becoming extremely dull, as the design process has been robbed of any individual quirks. Nowadays, people no longer think of the individual designer who may have been responsile for the products they use.

Do we need Disney?
Article Abstract:
Some 16 million US Southern Baptists have objected to the new Disney film 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame', which they feel has spoilt the story written by Victor Hugo, is too deep and dark, and has homosexual undertones. There is also concern about the over-promotion of items such as gargoyles, goats and hunchbacks. The objections would not be seen as so serious if Disney did not influence the US and other western lifestyles so much.
