Listen to the voices of those who endure poverty
Article Abstract:
Poverty can cause a wide range of serious problems. The poor are likely to be malnourished, and many also accumulate a significant amount of debt. They often fall victim to loan sharks, who charge very high interest rates and often demand payment with menaces. Most poor people are not inadequate, as they are often portrayed. In fact, they are very strong people who manage to survive in very adverse circumstances. In many cases, they are able to help themselves if they are given some support.

Poverty in the vicarage
Article Abstract:
Many Church of England clergy are suffering considerable financial difficulties. They do not have to pay rent for their accommodation, but must still meet running costs out of their income of between 14,600 pounds sterling and 15,510 pounds sterling a year. They must work very hard, and find that they become socially isolated as they have neither the time nor the money to entertain. They are also suffering from the fact that their status has greatly diminished.
