'Parents Choice': the schools you nominated
Article Abstract:
Parents nominated 1,500 good schools of which 'Independent' staff visited 350, of all types, to compile a record of the state of education in 1992, available in a supplement. Dedicated teachers provide good education despite the problems and criticisms often found. Parents choose schools for their secure, friendly, positive atmosphere and for their extracurricular activities as well as for good exam results. A school's character is noticeable on a visit and personal visiting is the best way to choose.
