Pass Goa and collect experience
Article Abstract:
Most students who opt to take a gap year before beginning university or college courses require some type of employment in order to fund the activities they plan to undertake. It is possible to obtain a pre-arranged placement, but the fees charged by placement services can be very high. In a very small number of cases, outside funding is available. Those who do not wish to make arrangements in advance may wish to consider travelling to Australia, where much casual employment is available. It is worth considering finding employment associated with your planned university course.

Those who can, teach abroad
Article Abstract:
There is great demand in many countries across the world for English lessons, and this has created employment opportunities for many young Britons. Some travel to teach English abroad with a specialist organisation which arranges employment, while others prefer to go independently. In most cases, it is necessary to have some form of qualification in teaching English as a foreign language.

Roll up your sleeves and see the world
Article Abstract:
Work abroad tends to be seasonal, but can be a very good way of becoming familiar with a foreign culture. It is often better to simply travel to the country concerned, then get a job by asking locals, rather than trying to secure employment from outside the country. For those seeking more secure jobs, au-pairing, teaching English and voluntary work should be considered.
