The 1998 Brighton Festival will cover 800 arts events, including theatre, dance and concerts. Standards are very high, and tickets for most events sell out extremely quickly. The classical music programme includes some very well known orchestras, and respected actors and actresses also participate in many events. However, the festival also serves to highlight local talent. Local performers include Chandalay Quor, a vocal ensemble.
