Peter Cotes
Article Abstract:
Actor, producer and director Peter Cotes became associated with the theatre at an early age, as both his parents were actors. He appeared in repertory theatre, in films and in cabaret, and directed one of the Arts Council's first tours to areas without theatres, including the Welsh coalfield. He worked extremely hard in the 1940s and 1950s to set up a group theatre company. He had hits in the West End and on Broadway, and became particularly well-known for 'Pick-Up Girl.'
