Alexander Cordell
Article Abstract:
Novelist Alexander Cordell spent a large part of his childhood in the Far East, and this background is seen in several of his 28 novels. His first novel, 'A Thought of Honour,' was published in 1954, and was not particularly successful. However, he showed great determination, and later gained critical acclaim for 'Rape of the Fair Country,' the first of a trilogy about life in early industrial Wales. This was followed by a second trilogy dealing with very similar subject matter.
