Pierre Rouve

Art critic, broadcaster and film director Pierre Rouve studied law at Sofia University, Bulgaria, and in Rome, Italy. He undertook postgraduate research in Venice, Italy, and Paris, France. He was a professor at Sofia University between 1938 and 1946, and also spent some time as a diplomat. He broadcast regularly for 50 years as a freelance, and taught at universities throughout Europe, as well as in Mexico and North America.

Robert Friend
Article Abstract:
Poet and translator Robert Friend graduated from Brooklyn College in 1934 and then worked for seven years in Puerto Rico and Panama, mainly as an English teacher. He settled in Israel in 1950, teaching English and American literature at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem for more than 30 years. He gained a strong reputation as a translator of modern Hebrew poets, and was particularly known as a translator of poetry by women.

Ka-Tzetnik 135633
Article Abstract:
Writer Yechiel Feiner, who was known as Ka-Tzetnik 135633, was born in Sosnowiec, Poland, around 1917. He became a rabbi in his teens. He published his first poems in Yiddish, and was deported to Auschwitz in 1943.He escaped during the death march of Feb 1945.
