Preserving the green belt is a natural Labour issue
Article Abstract:
The UK government has become increasingly aware that there would be electoral dangers associated with allowing unrestricted housing development. However, it has decided not to prevent plans for 10,000 homes to be constructed in green belt in Stevenage, England, and for green belt land on the outskirts of Newcastle, England, to be used for housing. Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott seems to be aware of the need to attract aspiring, articulate people back to city centres, and now has the opportunity to both regenerate the cities and protect the countryside.

Doctors call for end of kidney sale ban
Article Abstract:
The International Forum for Transplant Ethics has said that people should be allowed to sell their kidneys, although only through a regulated system of independent trusts. They said that given the benefits and risks involved this is a rational conclusion that should not be clouded by emotional feelings. Selling kidneys would its argued help to ease the shortage of available kidneys for transplant and a person with just one kidney can live a perfectly healthy life.
