Robert Lush
Article Abstract:
Interior designer Robert Lush began his working life as a set designer for the theatre. He turned to interior design through a partnership with Ralph Jacques which was founded in 1958. This led to the creation of Richmond Joinery Co and the Richmond Design Group. His company became increasingly involved in the renovation of 18th- and 19th-century hotel buildings as a result of his interest in architectural restoration and his great knowledge of period detail. He had a gift for creating spaces that made hotel guests feel at ease.
