Actor Robert Young took up acting at high school as therapy for his shyness. He was spotted by an agent in 1931, and was signed by MGM. He appeared in more than 100 films over the next 20 years, mainly as a romantic lead. His first major role was in Charles Brabin's 'New Morals For Old' in 1932. His most interesting casting was in the 1936 thriller 'Secret Agent,' in which he was a surprise villain. His film career reached its peak in 1947, when he appeared in the thrillers 'Crossfire' and 'They Won't Believe Me.'

Actor Robert Mitchum had a very casual attitude to his work, but became one of the most famous Hollywood stars. His performances tended to be very similar, but they had the advantage of being unique to him. He had a very strong presence, but became well known for his relaxed, almost detached manner. He was cast in every major genre, beginning with melodramas and later moving on to westerns and comedies.

Actor, theatre director and acting coach Robert Lewis first appeared on stage with the Civic Repertory Theatre in New York, NY, in 1929. He joined the Group Theatre Acting Company in 1931, and had his first major role in the 1934 production 'Men in White.' His first work as a director was with the touring company of Clifford Odets' 'Golden Boy.' His first smash hit was the Broadway musical 'Brigadoon.'
