Serbs stirred by memory of the Kosovo exodus
Article Abstract:
Kosovo, Yugoslavia, is part of the Serbian nation, according to Yugoslav Foreign Ministry official spokesman Nebojsa Vujovic. He believes that Serbia cannot function without Kosovo, and emphasizes that the Serbs are determined to retain control of Kosovo. However, he recognizes that Kosovo must remain multi-ethnic. He feels that the ethnic Albanians should return to Kosovo and that Serbia would then be able to reduce some of its forces there.

Christians of the Arab world flee their Biblical homeland
Article Abstract:
Many Christians have left the Middle East over recent years. Some have been the victims of persecution, while others are taking advantage of the mobility which comes with growing wealth. Some 500,000 Christians have left Lebanon since 1975, while at least 50,000 Assyrian Christians left Iraq after the 1991 Gulf War. The only Arab country which has not seen a mass exodus of Christians is Syria, where society remains secular.

The Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) in Limassol, Cyprus has a statistical index of Middle Eastern Christians.
