Investment experts regard the pharmaceutical sector as offering long-term growth potential. However, uncertainty is being created by proposed legislation in the US which will limit spending on outpatient drug costs for the elderly. Domestic investors seem to have relatively little interest in chemical sector stocks, but experts believe that manufacturers of industrial chemicals could offer potential. In the drugs sector, most investors focus on the largest stocks.
