Nouveau riches for year 2000
Article Abstract:
Collectors are becoming increasingly interested in Art Nouveau pieces as the end of the 20th century approaches. Areas with particular potential include glass by Daum, Tiffany and Galle, which is very characteristic of Art Nouveau and where prices are beginning to rise following the Art Nouveau glass price crash in 1991. The spirit of Art Nouveau seems to fit in very well with the spirit of the millennium, and Art Nouveau benefits from being a movement, rather than just a style.

A case of luggage fetishism
Article Abstract:
Old leather luggage can be very attractive, and some pieces can also serve a practical purpose in modern homes as alternatives to certain pieces of furniture. Private buyers still have the opportunity to purchase vintage luggage at below retail prices. There is particular interest in items made by French concern Louis Vuitton, with vintage motorists being the most enthusiastic bidders. It is important never to carry any old leather luggage or wicker picnic sets by the handles.
