Sleepwalkers lost in the nightmare of Srebrenica
Article Abstract:
The UN-protected safe area for Muslims 15 km square around Srebrenica, Bosnia-Herzegovina, is full of people walking about with nothing to do. The pre-war population of 5,000 has grown to 20,000 with another25,000 in surrounding villages. There is insufficient food and water and no electricity or sewerage. There are three 15,000-litre reservoirs of drinking water, about two litres per person per day. The Serbs forbid the delivery of reconstruction materials, tents or seeds.

Srebrenica fighters 'executived by Serbs.'
Article Abstract:
Bosnian Serb detention centres have been found by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to contain only a few of the Muslims missing from Srebrenica, and it is now thought that many of them may have perished following the seizure of the town by Serb forces. Some reports indicate that up to 4,000 captured Muslim men from the town were executed by the Serbs. The Bosnian Serbs are now allowing aid trucks to Srebrenica to pass through Serb-held territory.

'They were led away and they were all killed.' (UN troops fail to prevent murder of civilians in Srebrenica)
Article Abstract:
The collapse of the defence of the town of Srebrenica by Dutch United Nations troops at the beginning of Jul 1995 led to the Bosnian Serb capture of the town. The Serbs then took off hundreds of Muslim civilians to be slaughtered, and the UN troops were powerless to prevent them. This is a subject of great shame for the UN, as the Muslims had sought the protection of the UN and were then handed over to the Bosnian Serbs and abandoned.
