A degree of excellence
Article Abstract:
Many graduates decide to go on to study at postgraduate level because they wish to enter a specific career which requires postgraduate qualifications. However, others choose postgraduate study simply because they are very interested in a particular subject. Masters' degrees are generally preferred to research degrees for mainstream graduate entry, with people with a PhD qualification often being regarded by potential employers as lacking in commercial awareness. Anyone considering a research degree must look at the Higher Education Funding Councils research ratings.

Project yourself into the future
Article Abstract:
Real-life projects have become a key element of many Masters in Business Administration (MBA) courses available in the UK. These projects allow students to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-life situations. They encourage students to develop the ability to apply research methods and to deal with business projects. It is becoming increasingly common for MBA projects to be undertaken abroad, particularly in the case of students from institutions with strong links with others abroad.
