Investments
Article Abstract:
Most UK fund managers are currently rather cautious about the level of the US stock market. UK pension funds have been net sellers of US shares for some time now, with their holdings of US shares having declined to only 4% of their portfolios. Limit risk to win trust
Article Abstract:
The UK unit trust industry has been very badly affected by the scandal surrounding Morgan Grenfell, which has had to dismiss most of the top executives in its asset management business. The industry as a whole has seen a slump in investor confidence, and it is now widely acknowledged that steps will have to be taken to restore this confidence. These will have to include greater disclosure and more distinct lines of accountability.
