The sound of swinging 78s
Article Abstract:
Older listeners are generally much nicer than younger ones, according to Keith Skues, a disc jockey for BBC Radio Eastern Counties in Norwich, England. He has gained a cult following since he was mentioned in the Radio Times by John Peel. His style of radio presentation seems to hark back to the early days of radio, but he is also keen to establish contact with the younger generation. He plays mainly easy listening music, and tries hard to identify closely with his listeners.
