The Mansun family

The Britpop movement which for a time revived and united pop music in the UK with its colour and vitality seems to have collapsed. However, there are a number of promising pop groups around, and the future of pop music in the UK is not necessarily in doubt. New groups include Broadcast, which plays beautiful mood music, Raissa, which combines incisive melodies and jagged guitar patterns, and Mansun, which has a sound which is very hard to define. There are already clear signs of success for Mansun.

Article Abstract:

Rock group the Auteurs has generally been maligned by critics and the general public. However, this does not stop some individuals from greatly appreciating the group's music. They recognise that rock music tastes are always a personal issue, and do not mind buying records which nobody else wants. However, they also welcome the opportunity to meet other fans when the group performs live.
