It's the thought that counts
Article Abstract:
Sol LeWitt, 63, is considered a leading artist in Minimalism and Conceptualism but dislikes the label. He is not a skilled metalworker, carpenter or mason but is good at invention. His method of working is similar to an architect's: his logical system is often supplied in grid-format for others to execute. His large-scale Wall Drawings at the Museum of Modern Art,Oxford, England from Jan 24-Mar 28, 1992 are interpreted from his plan according to individual understanding.
