The real early learning centre
Article Abstract:
It is becoming increasingly common for computer software manufacturers to target the pre-school market through products designed for use in playgroups and nurseries. However, some experts are expressing reservations about this trend, claiming that information technology should not be regarded as an appropriate replacement for traditional pre-school learning activities, such as playing with sand and water. The Parents Information Network, which advises parents on information technology issues, feels that there is a risk that parents will use educational software to force their children to learn to read and write before they are really ready.
