The paedophile that haunts our imagination
Article Abstract:
UK society has become obsessed with paedophilia, even though paedophilia is actually no more common nowadays than it has been for many years. The dividing line between adult sexuality, which is celebrated in many ways, and sexual perversion has become very unclear. Modern culture is both obsessed with paedophilia and with young sexuality. Paedophilia which sometimes involves children being murdered is regarded as a modern plague, but there is actually no evidence for this.

Vive la republique! Et vive le roi!
Article Abstract:
France is generally regarded as a modern republic, but in fact it is closer to an absolute monarchy than any other European country. It differs from true monarchies only in that its monarchy is elected, with its rulers taking on dictator-like powers. By the end of the 1990s, the UK may actually be closer to a true modern republic than France.
