There is no party like Carole Stone's Christmas party
Article Abstract:
Carole Stone has gained a very strong reputation as a political hostess in London, England. She got to know many politicians while working as producer for 'Any Questions?,' and now has the addresses and telephone numbers of 9,500 people on her personal contacts database. However, she is by no means posh or snobby. She is from a working class background, and began holding her now famous social events as a way of introducing her mother to her friends. Her 1997 Christmas party will include some well-known people, but also many ordinary people.

You like books? That's unusual
Article Abstract:
Studying classic texts can present considerable problems, even for very intelligent students. There are substantial linguistic barriers to understanding what authors such as Spenser, Chaucer and Malory really intended to say, and students often struggle to appreciate the system of values on which classic texts are based. Reading classic texts is severely hampered by the fact that students do not have any rapport with the authors.
