Serbs enter Albania and burn village
Article Abstract:
Serb forces have attacked the village of Kamenica, Albania, setting homes alight before withdrawing. Some observers believe that this attack may have been a reprisal for attacks by the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in other places. This development will scare people away from the border region, which will benefit the Serbs, who wish to be free to pursue the KLA. Fears are now being expressed that the conflict in Kosovo, Yugoslavia, is spreading to other areas.

Numbed by fatigue and fear, the refugees flee Serb death squads
Article Abstract:
Ethnic Albanian refugees fleeing from Kosovo, Yugoslavia, report that Serb death squads are targeting intellectuals, journalists, writers and politicians. They claim that the Serbs are systematically eliminating the Albanians of Kosovo, with those who refuse to leave their homes being killed. Border villages have been emptied, and the Serbs now seem likely to turn their attention to Pristina, where 300,000 people live.
