Thousands of Serbs flee as towns fall
Article Abstract:
Croat forces, which are in loose allegiance with the Bosnian government army, are reported to have captured the key central Bosnian town of Jajce, along with Sipovo and Drvar. This has forced many people to flee in the direction of Banja Luka, which is still held by the Serbs. There are also unconfirmed reports that the Bosnian army has taken the town of Donji Vakuf. Jajce, which was taken by the rebel Serbs in Oct 1992, is regarded as an important military victory.

Shell barrage forces Serbs to surrender in Slavonia
Article Abstract:
Most of the secessionist Serbs in the area around the town of Pakrac in western Slavonia have been forced to surrender to Croat civilian and military leaders following the collapse of the ceasefire there. It now seems unlikely that the Serb retreat to areas of northern Bosnia will go ahead as planned, and both sides are unwilling to meet the terms of the cessation of hostilities deal signed only recently.

Serb collapse puts peace plan in jeopardy
Article Abstract:
The peace plan for former Yugoslavia drawn up by the Contact Group could prove unworkable if Serbia is obliged to send military assistance to the Bosnian Serbs as they try to put an end to the extensive gains being made by the Bosnian government and Croat troops. Bosnia is currently split roughly equally between Serbs and the Bosnian government and Croats, but further Serb losses look likely.
