Top TV presenters paid 5,000 pounds sterling a day for corporate work
Article Abstract:
BBC staff are the subject of guidelines which are intended to prevent conflicts of interest, but this is not the case with freelance presenters. Top freelance presenters can earn up to 5,000 pounds sterling a day on freelance projects for companies about which they may have to make reports. Such work can include chairing business conferences and making company videos. The BBC is now looking at ways of putting a stop to these practices.

Family shares agony of killer's final hours
Article Abstract:
Nicholas Ingram, currently facing death in the electric chair at a jail in Georgia, is most unlikely to see his plea for clemency succeed. He will be prepared mentally and physically by prison staff and outsiders as the time for his execution approaches, and will be allowed to make final requests.
