Tory women: the full story in black and blue
Article Abstract:
Conservative female politicians in the UK often find it hard to adopt the most suitable image. Emma Nicholson, for example, who has now moved to the Liberal Democrats, failed to realise that the modern Conservative party is no longer keen to have as its members of parliament people with high-ranking connections. Conservative women do not have the sense of commitment to each other which is seen among their Labour counterparts, and seem to have little in common. The Conservative party is still quick to alienate its members who do not show complete loyalty, and this is the fate which befell Emma Nicholson.

Conservatives have served the many, not the few
Article Abstract:
The Conservative government which has been in power in the UK since 1979 has worked very hard to rectify mistakes made in the 1950s and 1960s. It has encouraged a strong emphasis on mixed housing developments, for example, and has invested in renovating and rebuilding poor quality public housing. It has greatly improved the country's economy, and has made the UK the lowest taxed major country in Europe. It has revived poor inner city areas and greatly improved standards in education.
