Traffic jam to Damascus

Article Abstract:

It has become increasingly common for people to convert to a new belief. There have been cases among well known personalities recently, such as Alan Howarth moving from the Conservative party to the Labour party and Jemima Goldsmith converting to Islam to marry Imran Khan. The traditional ties which have kept people loyal to a particular belief no longer exist in modern society, so it has become much easier to make a complete revision of allegiances. There are many opportunities to embrace new philosophies, and converts feel that the future will be better because they have now discovered their true spiritual niche in life.
