Trains signal start of ground battle with airlines
Article Abstract:
Eurostar's Channel Tunnel train service, which connects London with Paris and Brussels, is proving extremely popular with business travellers. This has led to a loss of business for airlines. Travellers feel that choosing to go by train gives them much more 'quality time,' even though the actual journey time is no shorter than when travelling by air. There is now a growing awareness in the UK that high speed rail travel is the best way to cover long distances.

City cold-shoulders Tories on the margin
Article Abstract:
It is traditionally assumed that Conservative MPs who lose their seat in an election are very attractive to City of London firms. This is in fact not the case. Indeed, Conservative MPs who lose their seat at the forthcoming general election may find it hard to secure alternative employment. There could be up to 100 Conservative MPs seeking new employment, and some have already started making contact with headhunters to assess new possibilities.

In memory of Henry Moore: a battle
Article Abstract:
The Henry Moore Foundation is a rich arts patron with 650 sculptures, 3000 drawings and etchings. It houses the collection at Perry Green, Hertfordshire, England, and wants the site developed for better access, and buildings for display. Moore's daughter Mary claims ownership of some of the material and is against development as Perry Green was an open air cultural workshop, conveying how a great sculptor had developed over the years.
