A brief history of time travel
Article Abstract:
The theme of time travel first appeared in literature with H.G. Wells's 'The Time Machine,' published in 1895. It has been portrayed frequently on film and television ever since, although it is now seen differently. In latest productions, the present is seen to be as easy to manipulate as the future, and modern time travellers are obsessed with changing history. Time travel is now also closely linked with the American ideals of self-determination and the pursuit of happiness.

The accidental humorist
Article Abstract:
Geoff Posner has become the most successful television comedy director in the UK, having been involved with programmes including 'The Young Ones,' 'Saturday Live' and 'The Lenny Henry Show.' He recognises his achievements, but attributes this partly to chance. He began working at the BBC as a floor assistant, and worked extremely hard to achieve the post of director, having decided at a very early age on his future profession.
