Twin brothers in law
Article Abstract:
It is vital when barristers who belong to the same chambers are against each other that there is integrity of the individual and integrity of the system within the chambers, according to Clive Nicholls, whose twin brother Colin is also a barrister in the same set of chambers, 3 Raymond Buildings in Gray's Inn, London, England. There is often competition between barristers in the same set, and Nicholls believes that it may be even more competitive if he were to appear against his twin. They have appeared against each other once in an Old Bailey case, and have since sat in adjoining courts as recorders at the Old Bailey.

Equal in the eyes of the law
Article Abstract:
Leading criminal barrister Martin Bowley has recently taken on the role as spokesman for gay rights within the legal profession. He is president of the Bar Lesbian and Gay Group (Blagg), and is using the fact that he has left the Bar Council to speak with greater freedom about gay rights within the profession. He is not in favour of positive discrimination, but believes that a wide-reaching investigation of the issue is necessary.
