Two triumphs of the 20th century, for just 9.30 pounds sterling return
Article Abstract:
The Centre for Alternative Technology and Portmeirion, which are situated at opposite ends of the Cambrian Coaster railway line in mid-Wales, are both very worth visiting. At Portmeirion, there is a great deal of interesting architecture, and the town almost resembles a film set. At the Centre for Alternative Technology, the key theme is the superiority of nature over man-made technology. Exhibits include a cliff railway.
