Unchristian acts in land of Buddha
Article Abstract:
Christians are carrying out many attacks on Buddhist temples in South Korea. They are also harassing and discriminating against worshippers at Buddhist temples. Some observers believe that the attacks can be attributed to the very unusual history of Christians in South Korea, who gained considerable respect for their resistance to the Japanese occupation when some Buddhist leaders cooperated with the Japanese. South Korean government figures indicate that 10.5 million of 43 million South Koreans regard themselves as Christian.
