Waiting for Oscar
Article Abstract:
Actor Nigel Hawthorne greatly disliked being nominated as best actor for 'The Madness of King George' for the 1994 Oscars. He was aware that he would not win, and felt that it was a waste of his time to attend the ceremony. Marianne Jean-Baptiste, who was nominated for best actress in 1997 for 'Secrets and Lies,' felt that she was being treated as a model, rather than an actress. Pete Postlethwaite, who was nominated for best supporting actor for 'In the Name of the Father' in 1993, felt that the nomination made him more financially attractive.

Angel flair
Article Abstract:
Writer and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupery was a fascinating person, according to actor Bruno Ganz, who plays Saint-Exupery in 'Saint-Ex,' a drama-documentary about his life. Ganz has gained a reputation for being a very accomplished actor, but can often be very difficult to work with. He speaks his mind very openly, and does not tolerate discomfort. The film has certain problems associated with pace and budget, but is nevertheless very worth seeing.
