'We refuse to die gracefully.' (music group Erasure)
Article Abstract:
The members of pop group Erasure have become accustomed to being criticised occasionally, but this has made them very cynical about journalists. The group has had only very limited commercial success since the early 1990s, but its songs seem to have the ability to remain embedded in the consciousness of many people. Its members admit that they may now have gone past their peak, but they are still keen to perform live and release new recordings. Under a casual exterior, the group is striving to produce music which will touch people's souls.

Call the fire brigade
Article Abstract:
The stage show of music group The Prodigy clearly reflects the 1980s trends that influenced the group in its early stages. The group's showmanship is extremely impressive, and strongly distinguishes it from other pop groups, most of which pay only token attention to staging and costumes. The Prodigy regards live performance as an art form in its own right, rather than simply a complement to its recordings. Both Maxim and Flint spend the entire live performance in character, clearly reflecting the group's theatrical nature.
