Wednesdays, BBC2, marriage on the rocks
Article Abstract:
The couples who have been featured in the BBC2 documentary 'Breaking Point,' which portrays the work of Relate counsellors, have had mixed experiences as a result. One couple has found that their marriage has come under even more pressure following their appearance in the documentary, and that they have been criticized by neighbours and the media. They were in a poor emotional state when discussing with the BBC the possibility of appearing in the documentary, and did not realize that it would be broadcast on national television.

Rewriting the alphabet in clay
Article Abstract:
The Davis Dyslexia Correction Programme, which was established in the US in 1982, is gaining popularity in the UK. It is based on a week of one-to-one tuition, followed by work to undertake at home, and claims a 97% success rate. It begins by showing dyslexics how to control their imagination, and then guides them through the alphabet. Confusion is overcome through making each letter three-dimensionally in clay. The programme addresses the causes of dyslexia, influencing both the mind and the emotions.
