Sculptor David Cerny is not attracted to 'gallery art,' and prefers to display his work in the street. However, his work is currently being exhibited at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London, England. He rejects political art, and does not feel that there should be a clear reason behind artistic works. He feels that his most recent street project, a statue of national saint and martyr Wenceslas in Wenceslas Square, Prague, Czech Republic, expresses his rejection of nationalism and his disappointment at the current state of Czech society.

House swapping can initially seem an attractive way to organise a holiday, but can have some disadvantages. The households involved will inevitably have different attitudes to issues such as keeping the house clean, and there can be problems with a culture shock if a house in a different country is chosen. However, the families can sometimes become close friends, and it can be very interesting to gain an insight into a different way of life.

It is possible to make inflatable versions of many everyday objects, according to the founders of design company Inflate. They have found the design work challenging, but are prepared to look seriously at designs which others would not consider. The company now offers some everyday objects at low prices, and will also take commissions for larger, more expensive items.
