Hamlet alone: a celebration of skepticism
Article Abstract:
The lyric, dramatic play "Hamlet" is named as the greatest poem of the last thousand years. The character Hamlet was preoccupied with death and mortality, and that everything human dies. He did not believe in the Christian afterlife. The ghost of his father was thought to be only a dream. His beliefs indicate the turning point philosophically of the millennium when reflective skepticism became dominant intellectually. "Hamlet" is the only one of Shakespeare's greatest plays spoken in a single voice.

What is an airport for?
Article Abstract:
There is now a very strong emphasis on retailing at Gatwick and Heathrow airports, reflecting an international trend for retailing, rather than travel, to be the main purpose of airports. These airports have developed into enormous out-of-town shopping centres, and the government seems to be making no effort to prevent their retailing activities expanding even further. Airport shopping has become extremely profitable, especially in areas such as clothing, jewellery and electric equipment.

Re-creating Neanderthals
Article Abstract:
Workers in 1856 found the bones of a 40,000 year old Neanderthal in Neander Valley, Germany. These bones were later identified as the arms, legs, ribs, and a skullcap. Elisabeth Daynes with her assistants recreated the portrait with computer software and later sculpted all the body parts. Final touches of hair, skin color, and texture were also added. The Neanderthal is now in Neandertal Museum in Germany.
