What really causes ulcers
Article Abstract:
The role of the bacteria Helicobacter pylori in ulcers has been proven and well-documented. The bacteria embeds itself in the mucous layer of the stomach where it secretes an enzyme that dissolves the protective mucous barrier, causing acid and digestive juice to come into contact with the stomach tissues. The other health problems caused by H. pylori can result in cancer, heart disease and autoimmune disorders. The intake of nutrients such as raw cabbage juice, licorice root and antioxidant vitamins can help in the treatment of ulcers.
