When the personal becomes all too political, I tune out
Article Abstract:
It is possible that allegations by Paula Jones of sexual harassment will bring Bill Clinton's presidency to an end. If this does happen, then it will be a case of extreme triviality being put before reasoned political debate. It is possible to argue that it was wrong for the sexual harassment case to have been brought at all. Furthermore, it was wrong to demand that everybody who had encountered Clinton sexually should reveal it. If a sexual relationship took place between Clinton and Monica Lewinsky, then the details should remain private, as this was consensual.

What can our DNA tell us about sex in the Oval Office?
Article Abstract:
It is possible to apply the principles of evolutionary psychiatry to the alleged relationship between Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. It can be seen as perfectly natural that Clinton, who holds a very high social position, would wish to confirm and display this position through sexual conquest. Those who support the concepts of evolutionary psychiatry believe that we cannot really control instinctive reactions of this kind. However, it will be impossible to use this argument to excuse Clinton's behaviour, if it is proved.

Congress torn by bitter wrangle
Article Abstract:
There was a very strained atmosphere in the House of Representatives as members debated the impeachment of President Bill Clinton. The Democrats sought a resolution of adjournment, claiming that this issue cannot be debated while the US is undertaking military action against Iraq. However, they were unsuccessful, as they also were with a motion of censure to replace the impeachment. Republicans claimed that Clinton should resign, while Democrats alleged that the charges against Clinton were unfair.
