Where rivals feared to tread
Article Abstract:
Visitors to the Bethnal Green area of east London, England, can still see a number of places associated with gangsters Reggie and Ronnie Kray, who were convicted of murder in Mar 1969. In Cheshire Street, visitors can see the Carpenters Arms, the last establishment owned by the Krays and where Reggie drank the night he murdered Jack 'The Hat' McVitie in 1966. Further along this street, there is the disused Repton Boxing Club, where the Krays trained in the 1940s. It is also possible to see 178 Vallance Road, where the Krays grew up.

From the sublime to the bazaar
Article Abstract:
Many tourists have become unwilling to visit Urfa, Turkey, for fear of possible violence there. In fact, Urfa is a very safe place, and gives the visitor a very interesting insight into the real Turkey. It combines both western and eastern culture, especially in its covered bazaar. The town attracts many devout Muslim pilgrims, as legend states that the prophet Abraham was born in a cave there. Visitors may also wish to travel south to Harran, Turkey, which has famous beehive houses made to details contained in the Bible.

New York's green heart
Article Abstract:
Central Park in New York, NY, attracts more than 15 million visitors each year. It was declared a national historic landmark in 1965, and is used by more than 270 species of migratory birds. It has for many years been associated with violent crime, but many visitors believe that this reputation is undeserved. Significant efforts have been made to restore the park's famous landscapes, with recent work including the development of Strawberry Fields, an area of land near the West 72nd Street entrance.
