Who would want Mr Sleaze?
Article Abstract:
It is very difficult to live with being condemned for something you did not do, according to former Conservative MP Neil Hamilton, who is claimed to have accepted money in return for asking parliamentary questions. He will carry on fighting to clear his name, according to Christine, his wife. He is unable to return to practising as a barrister while he is still under a cloud of suspicion, and this means that he and his wife have had to make many economies. They work very closely together, and sometimes seem like a double act.

Not so much a party animal, more a party pooper
Article Abstract:
MP Martin Bell does not really regret giving up his career as a journalist to represent a constituency in Cheshire. He was in any case concerned about developments at the BBC, and felt that the BBC was very happy to let him go. He had no political experience at all when he was approached about taking on the constituency, but was attracted by the novelty of being a politician. He has a very honest, open approach, and this has won him many supporters as he has embarked on a career in politics.
