Who's for a fat lip?
Article Abstract:
It is a very negative development that many people nowadays feel that their working lives are out of control, according to playwright Doug Lucie. His latest play, 'The Shallow End,' deals with this theme, and is not, as some observers have claimed, an attack on the media, even though Lucie has been known to be very critical of the media in the past. He focuses on creating composite characters with universal appeal, and the main characters in the play cannot therefore be interpreted as representing living people.

It's a kind of magic
Article Abstract:
Comedian and magician Jerry Sadowitz regards performing tricks as a form of escapism. He spent a considerable amount of time in hospital as a child, and this allowed him to invent and practice many tricks. He sees his humour, which is often outrageous, as intrusive, and is keen for the close-up magic to be the main attraction in his show. He has a very low opinion of other magicians, and takes great care to ensure that they do not see his show.
