Whose fingers on the button?
Article Abstract:
Digital technologies have great potential to determine the structure of learning in the future. These technologies allow children to gain experience of complex projects which require them to use a wide range of skills. They also go far beyond the traditional highly structured approach to learning, which in many cases does not seem to have a clear purpose. Digital technologies can create a learning community made up of people of different ages and different experiences, and thus allow children to be helped by others and to help others.

There are taxing times ahead for the industry of the future
Article Abstract:
Electronic commerce offers considerable potential for tax avoidance, and governments are therefore giving a great deal of attention to finding ways of modernizing their tax systems to avoid this threat. The OECD is actively encouraging business involvement in this process. Governments are aware of the need to allow electronic commerce to develop, but still have tax concerns and lack a united approach. Their concerns include whether a website is a taxable presence and problems associated with monitoring transactions.
