Why bother to tie the knot?
Article Abstract:
The proportion of children born outside marriage in England and Wales reached almost 36% in 1996, while the number of cohabiting couples with children rose by 6% between 1986 and 1994. During the same period, the number of married couples declined by 12%. Many people feel that there is no need to marry, either before or after having children. However, experts point out that cohabiting couples with children still split up at between double and four times the rate of married couples with children.

How about bunking off for the day?
Article Abstract:
The third World No Gold Day is to be held on Apr 29, 1995. This is an attempt by environmentalists to draw attention to the damage which can be caused by uncontrolled development of golf courses. A number of pressure groups, such as Tourism Concern in the UK, are concerned about the precious land and water resources being consumed by golf courses. In some developing countries, people are even being forced to leave their homes in order to make room for golf courses.
