Wizard from Oz
Article Abstract:
Rock group Midnight Oil has never tried to fit in with global fashions, according to Peter Garrett, its lead singer. The group is extremely popular in Australia, but has never really tried to be successful in the UK or the US. Garrett himself has become one of the most famous people in Australia. He is very thoughtful and articulate, and has been involved in politics from time to time. He has served two terms as President of the Australian Conservation Foundation, and has been a member of the Constitutional Reform Commission.

Just how many days of rest?
Article Abstract:
Getting a lot of attention initially did not prove beneficial in the long run, according to David Gavurin and Harriet Wheeler of pop group The Sundays. Their debut album, 'Reading Writing & Arithmetic,' was widely acclaimed, but they felt that they still had a lot to learn when it came to writing their second album. They have been away from public attention for some time, but deny that they have become isolated from the pop music scene. They believe that it will not take them so long to write their next album.

Back to Seattle. So far, so good
Article Abstract:
Rock group Pearl Jam has attempted to create a very natural environment for when it records, according to singer Eddie Vedder. This is clearly reflected in 'Yield,' the group's new album, which has some ballads that are extremely attractive. Vedder carefully avoids thinking about the fact that his records are listened to by very large numbers of people, as he feels that this would make him mentally unstable. He believes that Pearl Jam will never again have the kind of impact it had with 'Ten,' its first album.
